MACON - New Project Georgia recruits The Madvocates and other Black community members and figures to encourage local Black voter participation in the upcoming Senate runoff election in a new heartfelt commercial.

Elections are far from over as Democratic candidates Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock face off with Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in the runoff election scheduled for January 5th, 2021. Though Biden & Harris arose victorious in November's Presidential race, seasoned voters know that the Senate race in Georgia will largely impact Washington's Blue-Red balance and the ease of the Presidential elect to implement objectives.

Due to The Madvocates' relationship with non-profits and community organizations, they aren't in the business of endorsing one candidate over the other. They do, however, feel strongly about encouraging Macon's people of color to exercise their right to vote and to become interested in how local politics impact the big picture.

Naturally, they answered the call when asked to participate in New Project Georgia's ad campaign to shine light on the cities of Georgia by letting the people who live there tell their own stories. All too often, whether by paid actors or other sources, such ads have historically spoken on behalf of Black, Brown, & Gold people, making this a historic moment in Georgia voting in an already historic election year as Georgia voted Blue for the first time since 1992.

Joining Hip-Hop artist/producer and Mook in the Morning co-host Chris Wind the EMA and Marooned podcast host and Madvocates Productions CEO, Hewy D. Flint are--among many others in the commercial--community powerhouse, Tonja Khabir (who happens to be the cousin of The Madvocates' D'andre O'range and a classmate from The EMA's high school graduating class), and Macon-Bibb District 2 Commissioner candidate, Weston Stroud.

The message to people of color in this commercial is clear: Macon's story should be written by the people of Macon, not for them, and that requires each person to make cast their vote and make their voice heard.

Join The Madvocates and more in going live on Facebook starting this week with hashtag #FLJVoteGA and use your talents to encourage your friends to get out and vote for a chance for your video to be shared on Fall Line Jam's page.
